Clark Cushion Tire Forklifts
Forklift Tire Specs
Forklifts have been an essential device in industry and commercial businesses ever since the year 1917. Throughout its history the forklift has changed through various forms, from a tractor with an attached platform to a specialized high-tech machinery. Forklift tires have also evolved into particular tires, with different types designed to meet particular applications.
Cushion (Solid) Tires
Rubber or solid polyurethane are the types of materials utilized to make cushion tires. They are best for indoor work on surfaces that are smooth. The tread of a cushion tire is bonded or pressed onto the steel ring of the tire. Cushion tires are rated ease of steering and for various load capacities. Cushion tires are normally utilized within warehouse settings.
Air or foam is used to fill pneumatic forklift tires. They are available in two types: bias or radial. Depending on the application, they come with different sidewall protection, tread depths and weight. Foam-filled pneumatic forklift tires are less susceptible to punctures and maintain constant pressures. Pneumatic tires are usually utilized outdoors on uneven, rough surfaces.
Pneumatic Shaped Solid/Solid Pneumatic
Solid Pneumatic Hybrid tires combine the comfortable ride of a pneumatic tire with the puncture resistance of a solid tire. They are a great option to the outdoor pneumatic tire.
Large Rubber and Flotation Tires
Big rubber tires, that can be pneumatic, foam or solid, are used on wheel loader forklifts. These kinds of tires are suitable for moving and loading heavy things into processing equipment or onto trucks. Big flotation pneumatic tires are best for masted rough terrain forklifts commonly used at construction sites, automobile recyclers and lumberyards.
