Rough terrain forklifts have been manufactured by CareLift Equipment, since 1962. Each and every day the company strives to help all their customers reach their goals and deliver value because they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
There are 2 general kinds of boom lifts. These models are straight boom lifts and articulated boom lifts. Often, these units are hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal option for tasks that require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machine is capable of rotating three hundred sixty degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom can be raised vertically to below horizontal. Because the operator is able to steer and maneuver the vehicle while the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile equipment. These units are available in diesel, propane or gas configurations as well as 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are used for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas that were otherwise not accessible. These lift models perform tasks which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a range of different directions allowing it to easily move around any objects in the work site.
Several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers so as to maintain stability whilst the boom lift is completely extended. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra safety and confidence. Correct training is necessary before using boom lifts so as to ensure the operator, the jobsite and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable jobs which used to need a lot more man power to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These machinery have changed the material handling industry and have greatly increased productivity.
