The design philosophy at Peiner has continually revolved around providing grabs which handle the largest volume of material versus grab dead weight. The standard handling ratio for Peiner grabs and buckets is around 60/40, meaning material dead weight of 60 percent vs. grab dead weight of 40 percent. This means transporting more quantities of supplies quicker. The wear and tear on the crane structure and its related components is less. Through a combination of manufacturing with high quality materials and innovative design, the desirable weight ratio is obtained.
In order to suit the particular needs of our clients' individual needs, grab sizes range from less than 1 cubic yard to more than 50 cubic yards.
