Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
The audible devices like motion alarms or back-up alarms generate sound which needs to be very loud to be heard above the noise which the forklift creates in the operating area.
The sound generated by the audio device must be discernible from other audible devices or noises from the work environment. The sound should also be different from the other sound or audible devices within the work area. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care has to be taken.
Hearing protection makes it really harder to hear the audible device and to distinguish which direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices could sometimes get disabled from both operators and workers as they could find them very irritating. As well, audible devices may also be objectionable to residents in the vicinity.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: To be able protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help avoid injuries and reduce other concerns. Moreover, these cabs feature an emergency exit via removing the window. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For every particular use, the operator could choose the performance need. Also, it allows a supervisor to set the maximum performance of a unit for an operator who is just beginning to learn. Being able to lessen and adjust the unit's maximum performance enables a new operator to learn the machine's operating features in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor deactivates the unit and when this occurs, it requires a supervisor to re-enable and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the equipment in a more controlled way.
Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the tail swing area, as well as the operating environment behind the truck.
