Hyundai Order Picker Forklift Ontario

Hyundai Order Picker Forklift Ontario

A stock picker, also called an order picker is a machinery that is quite like a forklift. It allows the operator to use forks to pick up a pallet. An order picker is also capable of lifting the operator up to higher shelves for picking certain objects, and this feature is something the lift truck does not provide. Typically, order pickers are operated by electricity. These kind of machines are mainly used in a warehouse setting. Most often they are utilized for moving pallets and doing certain jobs in the shelving and stocking department.

The operator of an order picker uses controls to control the unit from a platform setting which normally sits quite near the ground. The operator is able to direct the equipment to go forward, backward or steer it from side to side. When the operator has positioned the unit in place the tines can be raised to the required level which makes it convenient for the operator. For example, if the needed materials, are situated on a shelf which the operator could not reach, then entire platform could be raised up to certain level. Due to the counterweight located at the other end, the unit remains balanced, even at higher levels.

When the order has been picked, the platform is lowered back to its original position. Then the order picker could be driven to its next load. With the majority of models, it is possible to move the order picker while the platform is raised, however, some businesses might have procedures and policies in place preventing such maneuvers in the name of safety. An order picker is also able to place pallets on a shelf. Stackers and forklifts could be used to finish these specific jobs at some companies instead.
