To give you excellent performance and drive on rough terrain, these articulating booms come with optional 4-wheel drive and standard oscillating axles. Giving unmatched agility and tight areas, are the optional 4-wheel steer and 3-position switch. The platform controls are better and have been redesigned in order to be smoother for job site productivity and offer more controlled operation.
Raising Safety Standards for Aircraft Maintenance
Great for working on any aircraft size, the Model 740AJ offers 22.6 m or 74 feet of height and over 15 m or 51 feet of outreach. It includes numerous safety features that you need when performing maintenance. The Fall Arrest platform can be included so as to allow you to exit the platform and move an entire 270 degrees around the platform in a radius of 6 feet, and continue to have fall protection whilst doing so.
Another feature option is the Soft Touch System. This reduces the risk of any accidental contact and damage during aircraft maintenance. This optional package offers a suspended padded rail that surrounds the platform basket. There are proximity sensors that de-activate platform movement functions and the operator is alerted if the basket comes too close to the aircraft surface.
Benefits
The articulating jib would allow the operator better access and positioning to all external surfaces on any type of aircraft. This particular jib can be utilized in both uncontrolled and controlled places because of steady winds, jet blast standards of 80 mph and 90 mph gusts. An optional on-board air compressor enables the use of pneumatic-powered hand tools. When performing maintenance outside of the platform, the Fall Arrest adds safety.
